Before registering, please check if your organisation is already included in the Registry.

What are our criteria for inclusion?

To be listed, an organisation must meet the following criteria:

  • Be active in the Diamond OA ecosystem: Operate as a Publisher, Service Provider, or Tools and Technology Provider supporting Diamond OA publishing.
  • Commit to community ownership: Demonstrate governance by and for the community, including researchers and scholars.
  • Be a public legal entity: Have a defined legal status (non-profit, academic institution, government entity, or for-profit with Diamond OA support) to ensure transparency.
  • Be part of the European landscape: Must be either located in – or have a parent organisation located in – a country that is part of the European Research Area (ERA) or an observer to the European Research Area and Innovation Committee (ERAC).

Important notes:

  • For-profit entities can only qualify as Service Providers, if they directly support Diamond OA.
  • Individual journals are not eligible—the Registry hosts organisations enabling Diamond OA publishing.

Check here for more details on the criteria for inclusion and their relevance to the principles of Diamond OA.
