This section details the components of organisational profiles in the Registry. When registering an organisation, you will be prompted to complete the relevant fields. Definitions of the terms used in the profiles can be found in the Registry glossary

Comprehensive details about the profile elements, and instructions for completing the registration form are also available in a downloadable document.

When registering an organisation, you will be asked to enter the contact information of the person(s) responsible for the management of the organisation's profile in the Registry. The contact person(s) will be receiving updates from the Registry in the designated email addresses. The contact details of the contact persons will not be published on the Registry.

The following details will be required during the registration process:

1. Name (mandatory)

The official name of the Publisher / Provider in the original language and its commonly used English name or acronym (if any).

2. Website (mandatory)

The URL of the main page of the department or unit of the Publisher / Provider that publishes material or provides services and/or tools.

3. Service contact (mandatory)

The official contact email address of the organisation. This email address will be used for inquiries or collaboration requests from other organisations and will be stored in the Registry database.

4. Type (mandatory)

The type that the organisation identifies with (Publisher; Service Provider; Tools and Technology Provider).

5. Country (mandatory)

The country and the city (optionally) where the main address of the Publisher / Provider is located. 

6. Supported languages (mandatory)

The language/s in which publications are available and/or services and tools are provided.

7. Parent organisation (mandatory)

The name of the Publisher / Provider’s parent organisation (if any).

8. Legal entity type (mandatory)

The type of legal entity of the Publisher / Provider or its parent organisation (e.g. public organisation, not-for-profit, company, corporation, or other). 

9. Number of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) paid staff (optional)

Number of paid staff directly employed, or contracted, or seconded in the department or unit that publishes material or provides services and/or tools (i.e., editorial, production and operational staff in Full-Time Equivalent [FTE]).

10. Services and tools offered (mandatory)

The kind of services that the Publisher / Provider offers.

11. Geographical range of services (optional) 

The geographical scope of the services offered by the Publisher / Provider (national, regional, international).

12. Links to tools and services (optional) 

The URLs where the services are described and/or the tools are available for purchase/download.

13. Published or supported output types (mandatory)

The output types that the organisation publishes or provides services and tools for.

14. Disciplinary coverage (mandatory)

The discipline(s) that the Publisher / Provider mainly covers.

15. Other Registries in which the Publisher / Provider is included (optional)

16. Funding opportunities (optional)

Whether the organisation is looking for funding opportunities to support its Diamond OA activities.

Additionally, upon completing the registration, you will be asked to confirm that a) all information provided is accurate b) the person who provided the information is an authorised representative of the organisation c) with the exception of the details and email addresses of the main and secondary contact persons, all information can be accessible via the Registry.
